8 ply yarn
New Zealand/France=3.25 mm (USA=3, Canada=10) knitting needles
New Zealand/France=4.00 mm (USA=5, Canada=8) knitting needles
6sts to 7 rows = 1 square inch (2.5 square cms)

Back

Cast on 15 stitches with 3.25 mm needles and work following rows in rib: 1st row: knit 1, purl 1, repeat to last stitch, knit 1. 2nd row: purl 1, knit 1, repeat to last stitch, purl 1. Repeat 1st and 2nd rows 6 more times. (14 rows) Cast off (bind off) in rib.

Front

Same as for back.

Making up

Sew shoulder seams, by sewing up 4 stitches in from side edges. This will leave enough space for the boat neckline. Sew side seams, by sewing 6 rows up from the bottom. This will leave enough space for the armholes. Tidy up loose yarn ends inside garment.
